Secondary School Scholarship for 4 years for one girl
|
In East Africa access to a high school education is not always equal for boys and girls. For many young women it is only a dream that will never be fulfilled. Help a girl realize her dream by sponsoring a scholarship for her. Your commitment is $500 per year for 4 years which includes school fees, uniforms, books, meals and tutoring. After the first year, you will be billed annually for each of the following three years. (Payment plans are available.)
“Totally my family is against education. My father is forcing me to get married while I am young. I will cry upon the government to fight against ignorance. I shall educate and encourage my fellow to fight against ignorance through education. If I could have this chance than my family, especially my father would once change his mind.” Agness Ndarivoi, age 19.
“I would like to ask assistance because both my parents are dead and my grandmother, she is too old. So I don’t have any support to get a secondary education. My goal is to be a doctor. I like this profession very much. If I could be a doctor I will help my family. Also I would help my community by providing service to others.” Lucy Lomamami, age 16.
High School Education is for Everyone
Your sponsorship of an East African girl to attend high school for four years makes the difference in her life between a real future and early marriage and early child-bearing. Your sponsorship includes school fees, uniforms, books, meals and tutoring for a girl who otherwise would have no opportunity to continue her education.
